The Genuardi Family Foundation has adopted an updated

Indicative of its redefined focus, the Foundation has made changes to its grantmaking timeline, programs, and processes. The Foundation now makes grants to nonprofit organizations through three grant programs:

  • Core Grant Program: Annual general operating and program support grants for organizations serving Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Bucks Counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The once-annual 2013 Core Grant cycle begins with LOI submission June 1-30, 2012.
  • Philadelphia Fund: Invitation-only fund for organizations based in and serving Philadelphia County. The inaugural 2012 Philadelphia Fund cycle concluded in March 2012, with awards made to two Philadelphia-based organizations working in the area of housing and homelessness prevention. The next Philadelphia Fund cycle will be in Spring 2013.
  • Strategic Initiative Fund: Invitation-only fund for special projects identified by the Foundation. The inaugural 2012 Strategic Initiative cycle concluded in March 2012, with awards made to two regional organizations working to improve access to prenatal and infant care for low income mothers and families. The next Strategic Initiative cycle will be in Spring 2013.
