Philadelphia Fund Program

This by-invitation-only program provides support to organizations based in and providing services in the City of Philadelphia.

Each year, the Foundation selects between two and four Philadelphia-based organizations to support as key grantee partners with grants up to $25,000. The goal of the Philadelphia Fund is to support organizations that are implementing efficient and effective programs that can serve as models for other organizations.

Philadelphia-based organizations providing services in Montgomery, Chester, Delaware or Bucks Counties may be eligible to apply in the Core Grant Program. Contact the Foundation if you have questions about which grant program will be the best fit for your organization. Please note that the Philadelphia Fund has a separate online application process from the Core Grant Program and Strategic Initiative Program.

2012 Philadelphia Fund Grantees

Invitations to apply to the Philadelphia Fund were issued by the Foundation in January 2012 to a small number of selected, eligible organizations providing services in the area of Housing and Homelessness Prevention in the City of Philadelphia. Grant decisions were announced in Spring 2012.

2013 Philadelphia Fund Key Information

  • The Foundation has a dedicated Board committee that oversees the Philadelphia Fund. It will determine the focus area of the 2013 Philadelphia Fund in Spring 2013, craft an RFP, and issue invitations to apply to selected organizations doing work that aligns with the Foundation's strategic goals.
  • Invited Philadelphia Fund applicants may access the Foundation's online grant system by clicking here. Because it is an invitation-only process, the application is protected by a secure access code, issued only to invitees. Unsolicited proposals to the Philadelphia Fund will not be considered.
