On occasion, the Foundation proactively identifies issues or projects to support with significant funding.

The Strategic Initiative Fund is designed to foster solutions to community needs through innovative approaches, collaborations, and efforts that will sustain positive change over time.

The Strategic Initiative Fund application process is by invitation only, and is initiated by the Foundation.  In 2012, the Strategic Initiative focused on programs that increase access to prenatal, obstetrical and infant care in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

The Strategic Initiative Fund has a separate application process from the Core Grant Program and Philadelphia Fund Program. Invitations to apply online to the 2013 Strategic Initiative will be issued by the Foundation in Summer 2013 to a small number of selected, eligible organizations. 

Invited Strategic Initiative applicants may access the Foundation's online grant
system by clicking here. Because it is an invitation-only process, the application is protected by a secure access code, issued only to invitees. Unsolicited proposals to the Strategic Initiative will not be considered.
